People may be wondering how the check issue turned out.  When I picked up the check on the sidewalk and saw the address of the drawer, it gave me a new feeling to realize that I could make someone's day by reminding the drawer of the check after giving it to the drawer, if the drawer hadn't already known that the payment check was missing or if the drawer hadn't already written a new check.  As it turns out, the next evening I found the apartment location that was on the check, and as I walked toward the elevator a man asked if he could help me.  I mentioned and showed the check, talking about it a little.  He kindly said he'd take care of it.  That, too, gave me a new feeling.  Happy for having done a good deed, I contently left the building.

Also, some recent news before sharing some older news (my two bags were returned just this morning after arrangement of a meeting place and time):

Saturday, 4-29-06:  A <or the> first day of blindness <to people's ignorance>, for me.  About noon, after giving my guide, B.., a donut <and:  'Do I get a good morning hug?'  "Of course," with smile>, we went to the bus stop Southwest-West of the .. & .. intersection and made our way to .. & .. area.  We walked a little ways from 18th & something to ...  "...?"  'O.K.'  ... to, actually, ...  I panhandled there:  $0.0, using a Mountain Dew can after drinking that which B.. gave me.  Later, we went to 18th for the ...  We went far and stopped at a gas station.  C..s for B.., and I helped with $1.  Conversation with people at a bench.  ...  Then .. again.  Some Good lil' conversations between B.. and I, she pretty much mute and I blind.
