| Why do we need to feel loved? What is this deep obsesive desire to feel overwhelmed by another being? So much so that we do anything, including degrade ourselves and repeatedly create knowingly heart breaking scenarios, just for that moment, that one tiny breathlessly whispered yes - that leaves us empty and hollow and wanting more. I know it's worth it, that it's worth all that suffering for that one moment, but why? Why do we torture ourselves? Why do we have such a life altering voulnerablity? Maybe it is this need that forces us to evolutionarily survive, but bit by bit it kills us all, little by little, every day. So how long before I slowly bleed to death? |
